July Newsletter – We’re going to Iceland 2024!

Hey there!

I hope you’re finding new ways to stay cool through this heat wave!

As many of you already know, I recently moved back to my favorite desert city, Phoenix. Although it’s wonderful to be back and I’m finally settled in, we’re going on 20+ days of 110+ degree heat with no signs of relief in the next couple weeks. It has been brutal and we’re all praying for a desert storm to cool things off.

It’s not just the US feelin’ the heat. Over in the southern parts of Europe, temps are climbing up over 110 degrees F. Don’t forget to pack the sunscreen and a hat if you’re traveling over the next month. Plan activities early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the hottest time of the day. I’ve seen these neck cooler fans that look like headphones and honestly would consider buying one.

I just announced an exciting trip to cool off in September 2024…

The Best of Iceland in 2024!

I’m organizing a group trip to the breathtaking land of fire and ice – Iceland! The trip is scheduled for September 15, 2024 – September 21, 2024 (6 nights), and I would be absolutely delighted if you would join me on this unforgettable adventure.

Iceland, the land of majestic glaciers, cascading waterfalls, geothermal hot springs, and the enchanting Northern Lights, is a destination that has been on my bucket list for years. If Iceland is also on your list reach out to reserve your spot and invite someone to come along!

Before we part ways, here are some travel news and tips to keep you inspired and informed for your upcoming journeys:

August will be a busy month for summer travel. International flights in August are expected to be 78% above 2022 levels and domestics flights are expected to be 75% above 2022 levels. Top international cities are London, Rome, Athens, and Paris and top domestic cities are Chicago, Denver, Seattle, and Las Vegas. Arrive to the airport early and bring your patience.

All the talk about the European Union requiring a “visa” (ETIAS) in 2024 for US visitors is not as daunting as it sounds. It’s a one-time online application that lasts for 3 years (unless your passport expires within the 3 years) with multiple entries to EU countries allowed. It is only 7€ per application and approval is usually given in minutes.

Happy Travels!
