Hi there,
Fall is in the air. The busyness of the season is upon us with back to school, football weekends, and the upcoming festivities right around the corner.
I’m sharing a mediation that dropped into my inbox earlier this week from Mii amo, a world-class destination spa located in Sedona, Arizona among the red rocks. As the fall season unfolds, this meditation was a release and a replenishment of energy for the next season.

I’m looking forward to the next month. Next week I’ll be heading to Grand Cayman for a study tour hosted by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. Have you considered Grand Cayman for your next Caribbean adventure? From Texas and the Southeast, you can find direct flights under 3.5 hours to Grand Cayman. Featuring the famous seven-mile white sand beach and activities for all ages and interests. I’m most excited about snorkeling with gentle stingrays at Stingray City.
Then I’m heading back to Europe for my first river cruise! I fly into Prague for a few days before sailing from Vilshofen, Germany to Budapest, Hungary down the Danube river with Amawaterways. River cruising over the recent years has gained more interest as leisurely, but active and relaxing way to explore some most beautiful regions in Europe and around the world.

Imagine a floating hotel that takes you through wine valleys, small picturesque towns, and captivating cities. I’ll be sharing my personal experience in next month’s email. Some key differences I’ve noticed compared to ocean cruises:
-
- Passenger count – My ship, the AmaLea has a max. capacity at 158 passengers. Ocean cruises can carry well over 1,000+ passengers
-
- Docking Times – River cruise ships don’t have set embarking times that are shared months in advance outside of the first embarking port. Cruising on rivers requires more flexibility with docking times and docking locations
-
- Most river cruise companies include excursions as a part of the fare. They’ll have guided walking tours, bikes to borrow, food and wine/beer tastings and more
